About The Author

Elena Pavlova is an American writer, researcher and translator who specializes in Russian royal history and Russian literature. She resides in the US.

Ms. Pavlova was born in Moscow to a Ukrainian father and a Russian mother. She received her MA degree from Moscow State Linguistic University, then worked as an assistant professor and a translator for various corporations.  She has also published essays in The New York Times.

Fluent in English and Russian, she offers consulting to writers and producers on accurate usage of the Russian language. She advises on the nuances of Russian tradition and customs. Her book Royal and Divine is in preparation to be published. The first chapters are available here. ROYAL AND DIVINE
